On the 2nd of July, colleagues from Ideal and Rolls Royce took part in the Dragon Boat Race hosted by Nottingham Hospitals Charity. Adam Ramsdale, Lucy bird, Paul Broughton and 11 people from Rolls Royce all took part in the race and decided that they wanted to help raise some money for NHC.

“Each team took part in a four-boat race until one was crowned the fastest.

Every team got two chances within their heat to be the fastest in that group. After that each team were placed in one final heat and race for a medal position”

Nottingham Hospital Charity exists to support Nottingham four NHS Hospitals including QMC, City Hospital, Ropewalk house and the Nottingham Childrens Hospital and the Nottingham Children’s Hospital.

NHC work with amazing fundraisers, Volunteers, Patients, businesses, NHS staff and other local communities all the make hospital care in Nottingham the best it can be.

Last year, NHC raised over £4 million, to help fund life saving equipment, staff development, medical research and enhances facilities.=

A gigantic well done to the Rolls Royce and Ideal that took part in the race! It was all for a good cause, and it was an enjoyable day.

In the future Ideal hope to take part in some more charity events. With that being said Ideal are taking part in the Pretty Mudder on the 22nd of July which we can not wait for! So stay tuned!
